   We come here just about 1x a month. The food is outstanding: always get the chicken livers (nicely fried juicy pieces over grits) and trout dip to start. Usual favorites are the shrimp and grits (my chef husband says it's one of the best compilations he's ever had) and the trout entree. Tried the steak frites this time - perfectly cooked temperature and tender with excellent shoe string fries. The cocktails (expertly made Paper Plane!) are a nice complement to our meals. Everyone welcomes our dog on the patio, and it is a delight to always get to catch up with Bradley. This time we were served by Amy, who was a delight to chat with. Every server/staff are warm and friendly; we feel like we are home at Public House. We also received a nice note for our date night, just because!

   I went out with my family for my 49th birthday. I was with my husband, our 3 children under 10 and my handicapped mother. There was a conference group in one of the large rooms, so they gave us our own private room and were so accommodating to our family. Would highly recommend this restaurant, as it was already one of our favorites in Chattanooga and tonight topped the list for best dining experience we have had since living here.

   Brought three out-of-town guests for dinner. Everyone ordered a different meal and all were delicious. I had the beef filet medium rare and it was done perfectly. Service was great.

    I’m here with a friend fishing and was fortunate to have obtained a reservation at this gem of a fine restaurant. I have eaten at Michelin star restaurants worldwide and honestly have not enjoyed a meal more. The Old Fashioned was superb. And the Korean BBQ grilled pork belly with pickled veggies were to die for. Great salad followed by “gourmet comfort food! The red wine braised pot roast was superb, especially when accompanied by creamy mashed potatoes, beats with goat cheese, and the spicy cabbage with bacon. The unique presentation of the carrot cake was only exceeded by it’s amazing composition of flavors. Public House is an impressive cuisinary delight which combines familiar dishes served exquisitely prepared in combination with a unique array of complementary selections that raise the overall dining experience to that of fine dining at an amazingly affordable price! What a gem!!
