In just 8 months of being opened, Rayo climbed to the 50 Best Discovery List and right after 16 months Rayo jumped to the list of North America 50 Best Bars with the No. 17, and being awarded as the best new opening of 2023.

Housed in a landmark, heritage estate in Mexico City’s Roma Norte, Rayo Cocktail Bar blends dynamic, spirit-forward cocktails with exceptional, contemporary Mexican cuisine by fusing traditional flavors with inventive techniques.

*We have a tolerance of 15 minutes, if we have not received any notification we proceed to offer the table to the following diners*
Maximum parties are 8 people, we have a 30 mins tolerance to welcome the 8 people, if not, diners will be moved to other tables leaving that space for other reservations.

Drinks were great. One person came to explain the first round of drinks, no one explained anything out of the second. Service wasn’t great overall. We had to be asking for our waitress to order/reorder/etc. The food was ok, however on our guacamole plate the first round of chips were normal chips and there was even a cold piece of chicken, so I can just assume this was a mistake. Since when we asked for a refill better green chips came. I wouldn’t recommend this place even if the drinks are great.

We had 4 drinks and they were very good. The atmosphere is lovely, only the sofas are a little uncomfortable for those who stay for more than an hour. The service is very good, they explain the drinks in detail. Very well executed and have different flavors.

Todo muy bien, las bebidas, la comida, el servicio lo único desagradable fue el valet parking me querían cobrar más de lo que decía el boleto.

Bastante agradable el bar. Es pequeño, buenos cocteles. También pueden hacer precopeo en Fónico.

The experience was very enjoyable. We had an early reservation so we were the first people after they opened at 6pm. One of the staff took us up to the bar in a very old elevator, one of the first elevators that came to Mexico and had been moved to the bar location from the Castillo de Chapultepec area in the last 4-5 years. We were seated at the bar and our bartender Paula took time to explain the concept of the bar and to answer our questions. I ordered the mini flight of their most popular drinks and many of them had really fun and interesting garnishes. We’d definitely come back again!

Atención a detalle. El jefe de coctelería (olvide su nombre :( por mala memoria) pero sé que es Colombiano, estuvo muy pendiente de nuestro servicio, la plática y explicación de los cócteles fue inmejorable!
