   I had not been to Revel or Joule in years and was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, the food was not as good as I remember. The pancakes were mushy, the tuna overcooked, everything else was just ok (short rib bowl and dumplings, cauliflower) except for the crab noodles, which were tasty. I can get similar or better versions of some of these dishes at my local Korean restaurant, so I was disappointed. My cocktail special, the shiso mojito, was not good either. Watered down and no flavor. We had one of each dessert. The basque cheesecake had an interesting texture and flavor, but could have used a brighter sauce. The almond cake with the sauce wasn’t bad, but alone, ate a little dry. Not a fan of the fried ice cream. The ice cream had no flavor and the fried accompaniment tasted like fryer oil. Sadly, I won’t be returning unless they make some changes to the food and drinks. Service was ok.

   Outstanding food. Well-spaced tables. Excellent service. There is a 22% service charge which is shared by the servers and the back of the house. Additional tip is optional.

   Super welcoming and speedy service, our server brought over a complimentary fried ice cream dessert with a candle in it to celebrate a birthday in our group. The first of many visits to come!

   We reserved a group dinner for my closest co-workers for a Friday celebration. Revel was easy and attentive in the pre-event arrangements. The menu was varied, plentiful and delicious. Service excellent. A memorable, very enjoyable event.

   Everything on the menu was delicious, and trust me we tried almost everything. Their selection of non-alcoholic beverage options was fantastic for us non-drinkers. And the staff was so kind as to stay late and not rush us even though our dinner ran long.

   We went on Valentines Day, the food was mid and my boyfriend’s steak was very chewy. The best thing was the rose Tteboki. We were sat in the back against a wall and the atmosphere didn’t really take off because it was half empty. With a 22% automatic service charge you expect a very high standard of service and it was good but not great.

   The food here is always excellent! We had the Valentine’s Day special which included some of our favorites such short rib wontons and Dungeness crab noodles.

    Well the food is outstanding, delicious and the ideal blend of tastes. I love the savory pancakes made of beans, their cauliflower dish and kimchi samplers. The dumplings are a staple and the trout was delicious too! Service is still super too just right! I personally like the ambience in the bar better! Less bright! Enjoy you won’t regret going😉
