I recently visited Revelry and had one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The behavior of our server, Tanya, and the lack of accountability demonstrated by management completely soured my evening.
From the start, Tanya was apathetic and dismissive. She didn’t attempt to engage with us in any way—no conversation, no warmth, not even the most basic courtesy you’d expect from a server. Whenever she brought something to our table, she was completely silent, making my wife and I feel more like a transaction than valued guests.
The issues didn’t end there. When our steaks arrived—ordered medium rare—they were drastically undercooked, coming out blue-rare; practically raw. When we pointed this out, the situation only deteriorated. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, Tanya cleared our entire table, leaving us with nothing while we sat hungry. She didn’t offer any substitutions, drink refreshments, or a real apology. We felt dismissed.
The situation reached an unacceptable level when I attempted to address the poor service with the manager. Shockingly, Tanya approached our table uninvited, escalating the situation with aggressive and rude behavior. Instead of taking responsibility, she deflected any accountability and created an even more tense and uncomfortable atmosphere. This confrontation became so overwhelming that my wife was brought to tears—a deeply upsetting and unnecessary outcome.
What’s even more troubling is that the manager stood by and allowed this behavior to unfold without stepping in to de-escalate the situation. This lack of intervention demonstrated a clear failure in leadership and accountability.
We left the restaurant hungry.
Dining out should be an enjoyable and stress-free experience, but the unprofessionalism of the staff at Revelry made it anything but. This experience left us feeling disrespected and humiliated. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking even a baseline level of service and hospitality.
