We don't normally eat at fancy restaurants but decided to splurge on NYE. The atmosphere at Riverview is nice but the decor is quite dated. The food was good but not amazing. Maybe it's worth it in the summer when you can be outside on what looked like a nice patio setting.

Worst customer service I have had at a restaurant in a long time. It was my friend's 60th birthday. I had brought in some balloons and a few table decorations. One server comes over and compliments the decorations and says how festive it looks. It was a few table signs and cardboard pieces that had a 60 on them (Not actual confetti but placed on the table like confetti). A second server comes over after I am completely done with the very minimal decorations and says "You need to stop with the confetti. We have a STRICT policy against it." And then walks away. At this point I already had it on the table and I'm confused because the other server loved the decorations. From this point on, we were treated poorly. Our server (which was neither of the 2 mentioned above) took our order - our food came and it was mediocre at best. The Halibut Piccata was so well done I couldn't even chew the halibut it was so tough and cold at that. After our food was placed, no one ever came back to check on us. NOT ONE TIME! Our server finally brought dessert menus over and my friend whose birthday it was, had received a card from the restaurant for a free dessert - however, our server NEVER came back over to see if any of us wanted dessert and did not offer him his free dessert. After about 10 minutes of waiting, he finally went up to the host to order the dessert. And the restaurant was not busy at all so that cannot be an excuse. There were a total of 2 other tables in there while we were there. My friend was so excited to try this restaurant as he drives by it regularly but we were all so gravely disappointed and will not be returning anytime soon.

We celebrated our anniversary and felt like royalty by the attention we received. My steak was prepared to perfection and my husband had the best battered fish and chips ever. Beautiful setting, table with great view of the river. Desert was delicious.

We went fo Thanksgiving dinner because Riverview provided table service instead of a buffet. We knew nothing of this restaurant, but were more than pleasantly surprised. Given the fact of having to service so many people, the quality of the food and its presentation very good. What I most appreciated was that the mashed potatoes, stuffing and turkey were served in a pile smothered in gravy. Additionally, the service was very good and our server most pleasant, Two items need to be noted. First, there was not enough cranberry sauce, which my wife wants. Second, while not smothered with gravy, only the turkey (which was most tasty and tender), there should have been optional gravy for the stuffing and potatoes which have helped with the potatoes (I used butter, only because it came from the rolls which we had to ask for). The upside is, that it is about 30 miles away, we plan to return for a dinner.

We were lucky to have window seating overlooking the Sandy river on a beautiful sunny day for Thanksgiving. Service was attentive and friendly. Dinner was a 4 course meal which we enjoyed very much. Much more relaxing to let someone else do the cooking!

It was a very nice dinner. I had a glass of the Pinot Noir of which I cannot say was good, and overall it was a good experience and lovely dinner.

The Ahi Tuna was wonderful, as was our waitress. However, I feel the rice could be better. For example, flavored with chicken broth.

I’ve always loved Riverview Restaurant. I hadn’t been there in a very long time and never ate in the restaurant. I was always enjoying happy hour in the bar or sitting outside enjoying the view of the Sandy river. It was quite enjoyable and very relaxing. I’ll definitely be back.
