The Royal Crown Hotel is an easy going neighbourhood pub which attracts locals and tourists alike.

The interior reflects the local flora and fauna with food and drink offerings to rival any other pub in Australia. Newcastle's best beer garden is extremely popular with families whilst the Front Bar offers a loud hub of racing, ping pong and local characters.

Many visitors swing by after bushwalking, surfing, biking and climbing through Glenrock State Conservation Area. We have a huge range of classic and craft beers available coupled with an extensive wine list.

No boring pub bands here just big quality acts. Recent shows have seen Boo Seeka, Papa Pilko and the Bin Rats, Bootleg Rascal and Dusty Boots grace the stage.

An array of unique events make this pub one of the most exciting venues in the Hunter region.

    This place has a nice feel about it, the customer service is outstanding and I am sad I do not live closer to have dinner there more often. We will definitely be back!

    Food and service was great considering that staff numbers did not match the amount of customers. Staff were still friendly, helpful and made for a fantastic experience. We will be definitely making “The Royal” a regular.

    Food was good but very expensive for the volume provided. I had lamb wrap which was very tasty, but could have done with a second one for $28. My daughter was unimpressed by the 4 nuggets in the kids menu. We had a good night, great service.

    Will be back to this great pub. We had our little dog with us as we were staying in our caravan. We were able to bring her which was fantastic. Staff were so lovely, friendly & accommodating. Large round table, so that we could all talk together. Food was excellent, generous portions. Was a lovely ending to our holiday.

    Overall the gyros was expensive for the way the food was presented. Also the lamb was not great considering how much it cost
