   Very disappointed with our dinner. We were here 10 years ago and the restaurant has declined significantly. The food was way overpriced for the poor quality. Steaks were cooked incorrectly with potatoes that were cold with too much butter. Signature butterfish came out cold. Service was 4/10. VERY disappointed, I would definitely look for an alternative restaurant.

   I truly enjoyed the ahimsa tuna appetizer and my macadamia crusted Mahi Mahi was Devine in a lobster sauce. The toffee chocolate torte was also very good. The server was very helpful with suggestions and options. Water glass remained full consistently.

   We have been eating at Roy's on Maui for about 20 years. We have always enjoyed their food and service However, over the last few years including the aftermath of Covid, their quality has dropped off a little. Fast forward to the present and things are back to the good old days. They have added some new items to the rather stale menu and from what we experienced, they are all delicious. We started with a new appetizer shrimp dish that was definitely a "do over." My husband had the Cioppino and said it is one of the best he has eaten. We started with the beet salad with a delicious salad dressing. There wasn't a bite left on our plates. I had perfectly cooked snapper with the most delicious lobster sauce, I wanted to lick my plate! We are still disappointed they do not have the warm lava cake, but we understand it is a staffing issue in need of an additional pastry chef They do serve it room temp, which is good but doesn't knock your socks off like the warm cake does. Definitely one of our go to restaurant when on the island.

   We always have a great experience at this location. The food is consistently great and the service is outstanding. We refer many friends and family to this restaurant when they visit Maui.
