From sunrise to sunset, guests of Sage Lodge visit The Fireside Room to relax and enjoy food and drinks in a truly spectacular setting that is quintessentially Montana. A very comfortable combination of indoor and outdoor gathering spaces are situated against the stunning backdrop of the Paradise Valley and complemented by the comforting crackle of a wood-burning fire, a casual Montana restaurant experience. Reservations for dinner are required, and always welcomed for other meals. Please note, dinner reservations during summer months are in high demand. If available times are not appearing online, please search for dates that are further out, or join us for Breakfast, Lunch or at the bar.

The food was honestly terrible. The turkey was overcooked. The servings were way too small for what we paid. Basically a tablespoon of stuffing. The largest portion was the vegetable which was Brussels and they were not seasoned well to accompany the meal. Way overpriced for the portions and quality of food. The worst thanksgiving meal we’ve ever had. We will not dine here again.

Overall love Sage. We had lamb tacos and the filling was fabulous but the taco shell fell apart making it difficult to consume. Great ambiance and staff was superb tonight.

Our salads, steak (best in Park & Gallatin County) and the bison bolognese were outstanding. Server was very good and dessert was on them since we were celebrating our anniversary!!! Excellent dinning!

‘Jules’ our server was amazing and so attentive to our every need! Amazing food and breathtaking views. Loved the fireplace ambiance and live music. Made my 60th the most memorable evening in Montana!

We had the friendliest server, Anna made our 40th wedding anniversary feel so special. Enjoyed our meals. Good variety on menu. Room was very comfortable.

We stayed at Sage Lodge for 3 nights and there aren’t a lot of dining options other than this restaurant and Chico Hot Springs. The food and cocktails are good at Sage (although the local Old Fashioned cocktail is $25). My wife had the Steelhead and raved about it. I had a Bison Ragu on Pappardelle and it too was excellent. Wine prices and selection are just okay. My biggest issue is service. They simply don’t train staff on how to wait tables. A few examples: not knowing what is on the plate; not properly pouring wine (huge pours); putting the cork back in our bottle after pouring the first glass; forgetting to top up our wine. I get it. All first world problems, but this place cost >$1000 per night and entrees are $45-50. Training isn’t hard to do even if hiring is.
