   I had the pleasure of dining at Sambal Shiok, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that immediately set the tone for a delightful meal. I began with the Malaysian fried chicken, and it was absolutely incredible. The crispy exterior was perfectly balanced by the tender, juicy meat inside—every bite was packed with flavor. It’s clear the chicken had been marinated with care, and the spices were well-balanced, giving it just the right amount of kick without being overpowering. The peanut sauce on the side was delicious too! The laksa was another standout dish. The broth was creamy and aromatic, with a delicious balance of coconut milk and spices. The noodles were fresh, and the whole dish had just the right amount of heat and depth of flavour , making it a real treat for the senses. Every dish I tried was bursting with authentic Malaysian flavours , and the service was impeccable. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu. If you’re looking for a taste of Malaysia in the heart of the city, this restaurant is a must-visit!

   We attended the special Prosperity Feast and all the dishes was fabulous. The rich, flavoursome soup was packed with an array of mushrooms. The coconut prawns with a drizzle of salted egg mayo had that perfect crunch. The star for me was the cod, shitake mushrooms and soy sauce dish. The fish was so soft and delicious. But it was the hosts care and attention to every diner that made it a very special event to always remember.

   We decided to try Sambal Shiok after checking out Mandy Yin's Laksa recipe on Jamie Oliver's tv show : ) . We loved the food, and the very friendly service from the manager. Certainly plan to return to try more dishes.

   Fantastic evening celebrating Lunar New Year with a special feast created by Mandy and her team. The food was quite amazing, with fantastic service. It simply could not have been better! Cannot recommend highly enough.

   from the moment we came in we felt welcome, we added some family members very last minute and they were super accommodating. We had high hopes as we have the Sambal Shiok cookbook at home and is one our favourites. The food did not disappoint, rich, packed with flavour and generous, so good. We ordered one of the salads which went so well with the laksas and curries. We had kids with us and they were so accommodating the kids got to try some of their crispy chicken which is so good! and wolfed it down. I can't wait to go again, partly because it felt so welcoming and so happy to have people try their food, they are proud of it, and really so they should be! You dont often get to feel "at home" in a restaurant anymore. This was great. Well done to the Sambal Shiok team!

   Food tasty but very expensive! Understand that prices have had to go up but for casual dining it was a lot. There was no affordable wine on the menu. Staff were all great and attentive!

   Great food but I ordered a medium spiced Laksa which turned out to be very spicy. I was given some coconut milk to make it milder but I was never told that I would be charged extra for it. It was only £1 but it’s not about the money but principle - had I asked for mild laksa I would have not had to pay extra. This was disappointing

    Lovely restaurant , very attentive service ,the food is freshly cooked and very tasty. The manager checks back that the food and service are good . I have been here several times and the standard is brilliant well done to all the staff.
