Mandy Yin is one of the few Malaysian chef/owners in the UK, having founded Sambal Shiok in London in 2013. She is a Malaysian-born Chinese of Peranakan Nyonya heritage. "I take inspiration from everything I ate in my childhood growing up in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Then I mix it up and put a new slant on it.

    We went there tonight as a couple. We shared a Malaysian Fried Chicken starter (which I think is enough for two). I had a Chicken and Prawn Special Curry Laksa and my partner had a Vegan Special Curry Laksa (we asked for both to be hot). We were blown away by the depth of flavours in both laksas as well as the umami goodness of the Malaysian Fried Chicken. Service was excellent too. The only thing I'd change is the playlist - everything else was absolutely spot on! We'd happily come here again.

    The Penang assam laksa was so good and authentic! Felt like I was back home for a moment. The curry laksa and fried chicken were also delicious. We appreciate all the detail and care that go into making each dish. The staff were attentive and helpful.

    Me and my wife where in London for meetings and this was one of the best meals I have had in a long time the music was on point the staff were very friendly and the food next level I know we eat quickly but we had a fantastic time go early about 5 and you can have the place to yourself
