Sangiovese Ristorante was founded in 1994 bringing authentic Italian to Indianapolis' North Side. Chris Evans, Owner/Operator of Sangiovese, has maintained dedication to his loyal clientele by providing the highest quality ingredients and impeccable service. Sangiovese works toward letting guests sit back and enjoy a great bowl of pasta with a nice glass of Vino!

                                                                          One of our favorite restaurants! The food and service are always so amazing! Our server was Kennedy, and she took the best care of us! We started with the fried ravioli and the insalata mista. Both delicious! We then ordered our entrees, spaghetti fra diavlo and my husband’s favorite dish, osso buco! They don’t always have the osso buco, but luckily they did. We finished the evening with a cannoli, so good!! Love this restaurant!

                                                                          Kennedy is the greatest server ever! Lovely personality, very professional & present when needed. We dine often with friends & like tables #50 & #54. We can hear each other & still enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant. We will return again & again. The music last night was a teeny bit loud but, it was good music!

                                                                          Our food was excellent and so was the service. The drawbacks were the things that didn’t fit: (1) here’s a restaurant with traditional Italian fare and servers in formal attire but playing loud contemporary music (a little Sinatra and Dean Martin would have suited the place much more); and (2) a restaurant where any couple is easily looking at over two hundred dollars for dinner but you’re going to eat it on a bare wooden table, not far from a bar counter with a big-screen TV playing sports. The overall experience didn’t match the quality of the food and service. It just didn’t add up.

                                                                          My experience was wonderful, all the food was delicious and that infusion oil blow my brains. My server did an excellent job. My only observation not many servers for the amount of people. My main course outrageous…I would definitely will comeback.

                                                                          Great food, service and vibe. Started with the meatball appetizer - spicy and great. Then to the caprese salad which had fresh onion and a balsamic glaze to complement the fresh tomato and mozzarella which was wonderful. Moved on to the fruta de mar and my friend had an off menu main dish. All was excellent
