My husband and I went here for my birthday, we are from Florida and did a last minute flight allowing up to only get bar seating. We don’t normally sit at a bar but I really was excited to go here. When we drove up we did not see their ballet that’s ($10) so we ended up a few blocks up for $15 parking. Not a big thing but good info if you’re not from here. We sat at the bar and it was comfortable seating. We then ordered a coke and cocktail. The Gold Family cocktail was ok and not something I personally would order again. It took a bit for the bar tender to ask for our app order, we go the goat cheese quesadilla. This was very good and I wish I could have eaten 5! We then waited a really long time and had to ask to put in our main course. The bar tender was so busy with prep that he kept forgetting about us. We then ordered the pizza (on special) and filet. Both very great! The beef was so nice, soft and juicy. We again had to get the bat tenders attention for refills on the coke. After eating we waited some time and had to ask for the Check. Overall it was a nice restaurant and food was really good. I won’t sit at the bar again, maybe cause we went earlier and prep was needed that was a bad idea but was the only reservations on last minute trip.

Juan was a great server, gave excellent recommendations from the menu. Save room for dessert, the salted caramel dish was amazing.

I was searching restaurant near where I was staying and saw the grilled Octupus on the menu. Decided that I absolutely had to have it for my Birthday. This was my 1st time to Puerto Rico... visiting from Trinidad & Tobago and the food was impeccable. My husband ordered the salmon and enjoyed it, however, expected more noodles... he barely had a few strands on his plate; I tasted his food and didn't get any noodles. He said the vegetables were very tasty nonetheless. My grilled Octupus was delicious and so were the fingerling potatoes. The shrimp bao buns were delightful as well; that sauce tied it all together. It was a tad noisy but I guess that's what happens when you have many people conversing excitedly in such a small space. I was celebrating my birthday so was looking forward to getting a picture with the aesthetic wall but there were other patrons seated along it so couldn't. That was disappointing. Also, for special occasions I think complimentary dessert would be nice... not just a free candle. Overall, the experience was lovely.

Came in 30 mins early and was greeted by a friendly waiter and gave us a table. The waiter assigned to our table was attentive up until desert . He totally forgot about us assumed the busboy was in charge of bringing out dessert. That was 35 mins later .

We had a wonderful time at Santaella. The atmosphere was amazing. Our server was attentive. Cocktails and food alike were fantastic. Probably the best sea bass I’ve had in recent years.

One of the very best restaurants on the island. Great food. Creative drinks. Great service. Lively vibe inside and in the surrounding neighborhood outside it's doors. I have been many many times and I NEVER have had a bad experience. Can be hard to get into for dinner (you must have a reservation). Lunch is pretty open. Habe the pork shank. Sea bass also is perfevt. The place is just outstanding in every way.
