   Booked a table then received an email 4 days before booking to say they were cancelling our booking. Then received a email few days later to explain that the owners had decided to close the business sadly didn't get to experience the restaurant.

   Booking was cancelled because restaurant went out of business. Looking for a refund on a gift card.

   To begin the napkins were stuck to the table and had to be replaced. Starter of meat platter was tasteless. No seasoning at all main course was not seasoned and had no flavour at all although must say the seafood element was well cooked. Upon clearing plates water asked how it was. As I had left the squid ink pasta I said not good. Unseasoned and only flavour of oil. He said this was what was on menu and we were then ignored. Not offer dessert and finally asked for bill snd left. Although they took 10% off bill the attitude was not good and we made sure we left enough to cover full bill I do not loo for discount just good food and shall vote with my feet and not return to this restaurant

   Thanks for your review Jean. You had booked the bar for your visit but you were not happy with the table given to yourselves, we just had some tables leave and as we communicated to you a table in the restaurant would be ready in 5 minutes. We then took you to this table which had just been wiped cleaned and reset, this is why the napkins 'stuck' to the table as communicated to your party by staff. The menu describes the dish as in a caper butter sauce, along with the pasta being squid ink it is naturally oily. This pasta dish is made to highlight our seafood and alternative pasta, we are sorry that you felt ignored and this was not the intention, we did apologise for the dish not being to your taste as per the discount. We apologise for the experience that you had at our restaurant

   I really enjoyed my meal at santino, I had the Arancini to start and pizza from the special menu as a main. Both were delicious and would recommend to anyone. There were also a good choice of cocktails and overall had a very pleasant experience with good food, drinks and atmosphere.

   It was awful, we waited an hour and thirty minutes for a simple dish that wasn't complicated a lack of car and coordination from the kitchen staff, the menu was made outside and not authentic, the kitchen orders were poorly organised, no apology, no nothing, All fur coat and no knickers, Never again.

   Hi Adrian, thank you for leaving a review on both Google and OpenTable. You ordered a meat platter, so not a simple starter! we make all of our food in house: for any doubt have a look at our tik tok where we show it all being made, in house. I have also pulled up the timings from your dining experience, 2 minutes for drinks upon seating, 20 minutes for a meaty platter, and then 25 minutes for your salmon dish and prawn risotto (both freshly made). Our menu is made by our chefs and cooked to order, we are sorry that we didn’t gift you a free dessert as you demanded upon arrival for your birthday. We apologised for the apparent lack of quality but you refused a remake or change. The table of 10 which was served minutes before you had the same risotto and they said they loved it!

   We went to the restaurant on 24/12/24 and were sat upstairs in their function suite. The atmosphere in the room was poor as few diners. were delivered together and were ok . When it came to mains 2 pizzas were delivered but the bases were under cooked . The 2 other mains did not arrive for another 5 minutes. These were also disappointing chicken wrapped in Parma ham was dry and over cooked and lasagna was a little cold.

   Hi Stephanie, our restaurant was fully booked so we took the decision to seat diners upstairs. We went through the table plan for the day to ensure that there were always enough diners to create a good atmosphere, as management saw this as a potential complaint. Unfortunately, due to a table not showing up and one being 30 minutes late, our function room was quieter than we would've hoped at the moment of your visit. As for the quality of your food, we apologise for the wait in between the food arriving and the other issues. If you had raised this problem to your server they would have happily had your food remade to our usual standards.    Steaks weren't cooked to medium, were well done and way too salty. Portion of roasted veg smelt and looked off. Focaccia bread again way too salty and dry. Carbonara was delicious as was the pornstar martinis. No one came to ask how meal was. We did complain and were compensated.

   We had a lovely afternoon here. The food was good and the ambience pleasant. We found the service to be perfect and at no point did we feel rushed or had to wait too long. Staff really friendly and welcoming. We will be back.

   Service was good, very pleasant waiting staff. Chicken burger was lovely, my colleagues x 3 all had macaroni cheese & it was a tad tasteless unfortunately. This was passed onto staff, apologies were made but no £ off the bill. Cheesecake lovely, creme brulee very small but nice.

    Booked for 8 people. Service was good, some people may think service was slow but it was perfect for us, gave us time to enjoy our meal and chat between courses. There are no prices on menu which is not ideal . Food was delicious and good portion size. As a group we agreed that a few tweaks would make it perfect, e.g scoop of ice cream with the cheesecake, cream with the doughballs, a dip with some of the starters . But we all enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and the service. We spent around 3 and 1/2 hours in there having our meal, there was no hurry for our table. Will definitely return

    Hi Caroline, all of our menus have prices, they are the red numbers after the dish. We have had a few questions about this so we will try and make it clearer in our next menu update. As for sauces and cream/ice cream, all of our servers would be more than happy to add this onto the dish for you! Again, with the next menu update we will make this a clear option to add a scoop of ice cream etc. Thank you very much for your kind words and we will take all of your advice on board for our next menu.
