SUNDAY BRUNCH BEGINNING MARCH 31, 2024!

At Sarto, we believe that poring over the details is always worth it; and that the joys of a meal go far beyond the food itself. In keeping with Italy’s authentic, old-world traditions, we’ve approached our menu in much the same way an Italian chef opening a restaurant here in America might ── with dishes composed of fresh, locally sourced ingredients, that honor our region in a modern way.

Prepared from an open concept kitchen, our menu features modern Italian fare made with the freshest local ingredients Rhode Island has to offer, complimented by award – winning wines and a carefully curated cocktail program.

Sarto is located just moments from local performing arts and convention centers in the historic Teste brownstone building. Originally built in 1860, our restaurant was once home to an apothecary, a money-to-loan business and later the Philip Wolfe Haberdasher, which inspired the name Sarto or tailor in Italian.

"Jazz It Up" with Sarto - Jazz Night Table Service

“Jazz It Up” with dinner, drinks and live music at the Sarto, as local trios perform hot Jazz from 8-11pm weekly on Saturdays. Out with a group? Perfect! Plan ahead and make online reservations for table service for you and your friends, so everyone has a seat during Jazz it up with Sarto! Heading to a show downtown? Be sure to stop by Sarto after the show and enjoy music, dessert or bar snacks and a late-night libation. As a proud supporter of local student musicians, Sarto will be booking college jazz groups to perform in the monthly calendar rotation. Are you a college student in a jazz group? If so, send us an email to info@sartoprovidence.com for an audition! Complimentary valet parking.

Take a culinary “Giro D’italia” (Tour of Italy) at Sarto for an aperitif cocktail reception and five-course tasting menu with optional wine pairings that showcase five select regions throughout Italy! Learn about how the regional pairings were created by Chef Phil Dushkewich, gain some Italian wine knowledge from a local wine expert, and enjoy the sounds of live jazz music during the evening. (Dinner menu and wine pairings will be listed online February 26.) The cost is $100 per person for an aperitif cocktail upon arrival, hors d’ouevres and the five-course tasting menu. Optional wine pairings are available for $50 per person. Taxes and gratuity will be added upon making your pre-paid reservation online.

Music was just ok. Food was quite good especially all the apps we got. Service was great. Would definitely go again. Liked the vibe. Sat upstairs.

Great dining experience! We loved the atmosphere, it was open and very relaxed. The food was delicious. The service was perfect. We were seated right away at a nice table by the window. The wait staff was pleasant, personable and attentive. We especially enjoyed Seth our primary server and Phoebe, the manager, who was elegant and charming. Phoebe also offered up some amazing suggestions for our meal which were spot on. We are definitely recommending Sarto to friends and we will be returning very soon.

My wife and I dined at Sarto last night for the first time and it was excellent. We were greeted warmly by the manager and our server Mel gave us some great recommendations on the menu. The food and drinks were fantastic and really made for a memorable night. Great vibe and comfortable atmosphere. We will certainly be back!

Great find! Had the INSALATA INVERNALE and RICOTTA SACCHETTI & SEASONAL VEGETABLES. Both salad and pasta were excellent. Service was wonderful.

Outstanding experience, Phoebe, the general manager and Zoe the server were outstanding!!! food, quality, exceptional awesome ambience with the live music we were super impressed with Phoebe‘s leadership and the way she commanded the room and touched each table. Well done! We will be back!

We had an amazing experience celebrating my loved one’s birthday at Sarto! The service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and accommodating. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere made the night even more special. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate. Highly recommend Sarto for any occasion!

Love that this felt like a fine dining experience with a more relaxed and welcoming vibe. We sat on the upper level which was perfect for our group. Drinks and food were both great and the service was excellent. Highly recommend.
