First opened in 2016 and located on Orchard Street, where the LES, Chinatown and Dimes Square converge, Scarr's Pizza has been called, "The best slice in New York." With a focus on all-natural and organic ingredients, owner and 2024 James Beard Nominee (Best Chef NY State) Scarr Pimentel has crafted not only the best tasting slice in the city, but the healthiest too. Skip the line, book a table and come in for a pie. There is a full bar and the dine-in menu features the crowd favorite Hotboi and Clark Kent as well as exclusive items like the Calzones.

Unreal and vibey. Decor from 2001. Concierge. Roped off table area. Full bar. Disneyland-Tomorrowland-in-the-80s color scheme. Bad painting of Gucci Mane on the wall. The playlist was like Ja Rule, Ashanti, Lox, more Ja Rule, Fat Joe, more Ja Rule. So in other words, fantastic. Pizza was delicious. We got the Sicilian, but I’d try the Neapolitan style next time.

This was my second time at Scarr’s and first since they moved from their original location. Honestly it felt like a mall restaurant trying to be an NYC pizza joint - cold, sans unique personality. The food was okay, the quality seems to have changed - the dough was a bit thick for a traditional NY slice. The wine pours were shockingly skimpy. The service was disappointing as our appetizers and pizza essentially all came at once leaving very little room on our small table for 2 and we felt very rushed to wrap things up even though the restaurant wasn’t full.
