Surprised we were able to secure a reservation. Beautiful historic building, very opulent, We had the set menu which was good value and a varied selection. From being welcomed to the restaurant and throughout the whole meal the service was exemplary. A bonus was a Magician, which added to the birthday celebration for our 13 year old with a dessert and candles. Only quibble was the restaurant was quite cold. My son is asking to go again the same week !

Staff were absolutely amazing but food surprisingly was poor. I’ve been to Sheesh numerous times having lived closeby in Woodford and always had a great experience. However tried the ‘business’ menu for a very casual NYE lunch. The starter chopped salad was watery the dips were uninspiring. As we were halfway through the salad starter, the mains arrived. We did ask for the skewererd meat to be kept warm on the grill but this apparently was not possible ??? so by the time we’d finished the appetiser the sheesh skewer was stone cold. In addition Vodka/Sheesh Martinis now at £19 a pop and the house wine £50 a bottle so spend on alcohol can be high.

Seating right next to the DJ and the speaker, so needless to say it was very loud. Great food though.

Absolutely loved my visit to Sheesh! Food was amazing and atmosphere in the restaurant, which is beautiful. Service was also great and all staff were very welcoming. I will be returning when in the area again.
