Experience the best of Shimogamo with our Omakase menu, which means “leave it up to you”. Our expert staff will curate a menu, tailored to your preferences and dietary restrictions. Please note that this is not a customly created chef's tasting course, but rather a compilation of our existing menu and specials of the day. Designed for sharing, this menu is perfect for groups of two or more and requires a minimum of two guests. To ensure availability, reservations are required. The Omakase menu is priced per person and excludes tax and gratuity. Beverages are not included in the course but can be added at an additional cost. Please allow approximately two hours for a party of two, and three hours or more for larger groups.

This review is for service. We made reservations 90 days ahead. Upon arrival the hostess was very rude. She didn’t have appropriate table set up for 5 people. Refuse to accommodate with our request. Told us to leave before 7pm because of other reservations even though there was half empty restaurant.

Great experience overall. Appropriately priced nigiri, sashimi, and maki. The otoro, chutoro, and salmon were delicious, as was the shima aji. The well-balanced maki were a difference maker compared to a lot of other sushi restaurants. They were very well composed, and the flavors incorporated complimented each other very well. Thoughtfully developed cocktail menu and nice variety of sakes as well.

Always a great choice if you are looking for prime sushi. The menu seems to have been extended with more Wagyu offerings, which are not anything I'm looking for. Service was excellent as usual. Some more decent priced sake would be welcome.

We love Shimogamo and haven’t had sushi anywhere else that compares. The quality and variety are outstanding. The servers are very knowledgeable and attentive. The chefs are very personable and responsive to questions and requests. Esther prepared our sushi last evening and it was amazing!

We have been coming here for years. The sushi is always fresh. We love the oysters on a half shell. No complaints at all.
