Shuckin’ Shack Oyster Bar grew out of a vision for a local establishment that would appeal to families of all ages. A place where friends and family can enjoy a great meal of primarily Oysters and Shrimp, but we’re more than just a seafood restaurant, we serve up fresh, delicious meals and creative cocktails in an environment that exudes relaxation. We cater to locals and tourists, providing them a place to enjoy a good time and watch a sporting event on big screens while taking in some of the local history. Many people have passed in and out of our doors enjoying succulent local oysters and shrimp, shared local fishing or surfing stories and spent time just talking about the friendly beach comber atmosphere inside. The casual atmosphere with its friendly and helpful staff has made many patrons feel very much at home be they locals or visitors.

    Came all the way from Chicago because of IG! Soooo happy we did! Not disappointed 1 bit! Great vibe, great food and amazing staff! Everything we expected! Great trek! We will be back! 🦐🍻🍷🍤

    The Cigarette Butt of Seafood restaurants. We ordered four appetizer dishes-they ALL came out COLD. Service was horrible, our waitress was also the bartender but our table was not in proximity to the bar. They kept bringing us incorrect drinks and entrees-stuff meant for other tables. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME you are better off having some fish sticks at home.

    Went for a beach party live music games and raffles. None of which happened. We were seated immediately. The live music started a hour later was not even beach songs! They had beach balls on table then removed them when they sat us. No mention of fundraiser ever. No games! Our waitress was bartending so poor girl took forever. Food was ok. Amazing inexpensive. $50 for two of us. Just very disappointing as we went for beach party which didn’t exist. We had to ask about fundraiser as we left and host took us to corner where there were a few baskets and she tried to sell us a $5 raffle as we left we said no. I doubt they sold any since servers never mentioned it. Even if short staffed you mission on fundraiser night is to mention it as you seat people. Don’t advertise beach party and then don’t play beach songs! It was just loud. Music too loud for that small of space. We won’t be back one and done

    The only low point was that they were understaffed, and it took a while to get our food. It was very good, and we had a lot! There was plenty to go around, and I had enough leftovers for a big lunch the next day.

    Very avg and overpriced. It took 15 mins to get our drink order. Food is overpriced and ambiance is average.

    We have always loved Shuckin shack and the people and service are great - we started this time with 3 oysters a piece and they always have an ever changing variety - the pink moon was awesome with a nice finish , the crab cakes phenomenal , and the New England clam chowder is the best ! They also make great seasonal drinks and I had the Christmas old fashioned which was spot on ! I’ve asked the owners to come to Frankfort so we could have a dedicated excellent oyster bar !     We had a great time on Christmas Eve, there were seven of us and everyone was friendly, the food was great. Just what we needed.
