Smoqued California Barbeque takes the traditionally southern practice of barbecue and gives it a west coast twist. The interior of the restaurant looks like any smokehouse one might find deep in Texas or up in Memphis. The whole establishment has a certain rustic and laid back charm that is easy to appreciate. In addition to serving up delicious barbecue, Smoqued is dedicated to serving the best in local craft brews. At any given time, there are a dozen local brewers being represented on the wall of taps. One of the best ways to start a meal here is with the Smoqued pork nachos with shoestring fries, mac sauce, mixed cheese, onions, tomato, jalapenos, chives and house BBQ sauce. All of the entrées are served as platters with the guest's choice of two sides. Possible proteins include beef brisket, pulled pork, pork belly, smoked chicken and smoked St. Louis ribs.

    We had a great time dining at Smoqued. Their beef brisket is hard to beat. Our party of three enjoyed the meal.

    We have always loved this place! Although, I do wish they had a better wine selection or at least a reasonable corsage fee.

    The waitress was rude to my pregnant guest, did not explain that she had cancelled her order, she didn’t suggest another plate for her to have, and I also got sick from the ribs. Will not be returning.

    The food was absolutely amazing! Really good service and everything we tried was fantastic from fried pickles, and candied bacon appetizer to burnt ends, brisket, steak, even the loaded, baked potato with chili. The whole family loved everything! Oh don’t miss the corn bread muffins!!!

    The portions were pretty good. Being from Texas it was not bad. Chx baked potato was nice and moist however, it did need butter, and make chopped up chicken and not slices of chx. the Mac and cheese was missing just a bit of spice. The breakfast burrito was tasty. But overall the food was pretty good. We would be back.

    We had an excellent experience at Smoqued. The food was delicious, service was gracious and friendly and the prices were quite fair with large portion sizes. We enjoyed: Burnt Ends Deviled Eggs Mac and Cheese Shepards Pie Texas Brisket Chili Brisket plate 1/2 Chicken plate w/ BBQ Baked Beans and Mac and Cheese Entire staff worked hard and delivered friendly service. Everything was wonderful! We will be back!
