Soothr, properly pronounced “Sood” is the Thai word meaning “Recipe”. This East Village establishment is the vision of close friends who grew up in different regions of Thailand, hoping to share their experiences and recipes with the rest of the world. Raised in distinctive regional cities, each individual brings their own unique relationship with Thai cuisine, with a specific focus on the generational family recipes that have shaped their childhood and time growing up in Thailand. With a specialty in family noodle recipes from throughout Thailand, Soothr offers a culinary experience that is geared towards the comfort and warmth of dining at home. These traditional recipes have brought great comfort and a sense of home for generations, and Soothr at its core is an invitation to sit at the table and enjoy a classic, Thai family meal.

OpenTable 編集部より： 麺が主役のこのタイ料理店は、2020年のオープン後、『イーター』や『ニューヨークタイムズ』誌で絶賛された。麺はピリ辛のバミープー（蟹の乾麺）や鶏肉のカオソーイなど、数多くの郷土料理に使われている。テキーラとタマリンドシロップをベースにしたなエキサイティングなカクテル「Pay-Thai」と合わせれば、バンコクの屋台にいるような気分になれる。

    Great spot, amazing ambience, incredible staff and customer service, incredibly delicious authentic Thai ! Absolute GEM in a fun NYC neighborhood. A must try -- and try and try again. Adding Soothr to our 10 best eateries in NY.

    Everything was great in most ways. Food was excellent. They’re a bit “industrial” in their hustle. Upselling at every step…cocktails, entrees, dessert. And they were a bit ham-fisted in their expecting you to wrap it up in 90 minutes. But, all in all, a good result.

    It’s always a delicious hot meal and amazing service. They are prompt with food and it’s fresh and hot. Everyone at my table loved their dish and I always get the same thing, Khao Soi. It’s the best I’ve been had!
