   The service here was the best we had in San Juan. We ate in a lot of restaurants but the server here was amazing! The food was good and priced reasonable. Nice intimate setting and lovely atmosphere.

   We had a wonderful time at Sottovento. The food was incredible, and the service was terrific. You could really tell the chef loves cooking and wants people to enjoy the food. The attention to detail was evident. We celebrated the 36th anniversary of my boyfriend's parents, and they had a fantastic time. We will be going back when we are back in Puerto Rico!

   My experience at Sottovento was nothing short of exceptional. Mateo, my server, is a seasoned professional who made me feel completely at ease—almost as if I were at home. His warmth and expertise elevated the entire dining experience. I started with the local potatoes and caviar, which were simply spectacular. Following Mateo’s recommendation, I had the branzino, and it was absolutely delightful—perfectly delicate and well-executed. The wine selection was excellent, with both the Vermentino and Primitivo pairing beautifully with the meal. The cocktails were just as impressive. The atmosphere was also elegant and beautiful. Sottovento delivers an exquisite culinary experience with top-tier service. I’ll definitely be returning with my special ones! 🤍

   The restaurant is beautiful and serenely decorated. Our waitress was wonderful, helpful, friendly, and sweet. The food was wonderful. I have the seafood stew that was absolutely delicious.

   From the moment you step into Sottovento Ristorante, you’re welcomed with warm hospitality and exceptional attention to detail. Carlos Beltrán and his team ensure every guest feels at home, creating a truly memorable dining experience. The branzino was fresh and perfectly roasted, while the filet mignon was tender, flavorful, and expertly prepared. Their homemade pasta is cooked to perfection, delivering authentic Italian flavors in every bite. To top it all off, the house-made tiramisu is “to die for” the perfect sweet ending to an outstanding meal. True Italian cuisine crafted by Chef Christian Darcoli, whose passion for authentic flavors is reflected in every dish.    The food and service were both very good. Very limited menu, but had the chicken parm and it did not disappoint. Martini was okay, pour was not generous at all and I prefer a proper martini glass to their coupe, but oh well. Still tasted good. If you’re staying for a week and looking for variety around the hotel, it is worth a try.

   My server did not understand English. My order had gotten messed up quite a few times. My desert order was all wrong too. However the food was incredibly delicious. For example the special of the night she could not explain to me. She said it was a shredded veal chop with expensive mushrooms. Another server came over and explained what it was. When paying $250.00 for a meal, the server should know the menu.

   It is a lovely restaurant with a great ambiance for a dinner date. The service was excellent, and the food was both delicious and creative. Kudos to Chef Darcoli and all the staff! I will visit again soon.
