Couldn't use disability lift as their number was apparently out of order. As we eventually got up the stairs as my wife had a bad back, we let them know about their number not working. They seemed too busy to care and gave fake apology. When we got to table, the table was wobbly so we asked if they can fix it which they did. Thanks for that. We were offered surprised banquet and we asked that we don't want anything raw. First dishes had roe ontop of dumplings and we didn't like it and it stank. We were asked if we liked it and told them no. They told chef and she seemed not happy. They did gave another course of something different and it wad lovely During service, young inexperienced waitresses were hovering over peoples tables trying fill their sparkling h20 glasses with still h20. Had to remind them twice its sparkling not still. They seemed nervous as chef seems angry One of young waitress was trying to serve our mains while trying to eat starters. There were no room to place on table. I asked the young lady nicely to wait a few minutes. She returned to kitchen than I noticed chef yelling at her to return it to our table now. We felt rushed trying to eat our starters so chef doesn't yell as waitress again. The manager came over as chef said something to her and told us that is it, last course and I told her nothing wrong with food. we had no room to place main dish on table while we were trying to finish our starters. Not the best experience at all. At 8.45pm kitchen staff turn light off in kitchen and I notice the older waitresses in the back room with the female chef and she was not happy. Seemed to be a toxic environment and feel sorry for waitresses. Due to all that one of main waitresses who is from Thailand gave us discount on 2 drinks which was awesome. Best meal was mushroom dish. Thankyou to thai waitress you did awesome job.

We had the pleasure of dining at Spice Bar after a previous experience that didn’t go as planned, and we can honestly say it was the most incredible dining experience we’ve ever had on the Sunshine Coast. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel so special. The service was impeccable, thoughtful, attentive, and truly heartfelt. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, showcasing the incredible talent in the kitchen. We were blown away by the effort and care that went into every detail of our evening. What impressed us even more was the generosity and professionalism the team showed after our NYE experience. It’s rare to find a restaurant that goes above and beyond to make things right, and they truly exceeded all our expectations. A huge thank you to Allie, Luke, Chef Sophie and the entire team for turning our evening into something so memorable.

The entire dining experience was exceptional. The chef did an 8 course degustation that was amazing

We had high hopes for our NYE dinner but, unfortunately, it didn’t meet expectations. Service was slow, drinks and courses were delayed, and the experience felt disorganized overall. We appreciate that the restaurant has since responded to our concerns, and we hope they can use this feedback to improve.

This was a New Year’s Eve dinner and was very disorganised and food was nice when you got it and very small portions. Will not go again.

We would have loved for a few more staff on for the night however there were some unforseen absences. Our most sincere apologies for this to be your experience for such a special night. We chose this restaurant as a "thank you" to a very special person. What a good choice we made!! Firstly thank you to our "wait staff". We were greeted and waited on by the most lovely staff Secondly, the food was amazingly succulent and exciting on the pallet. Thirdly, we loved the venue and the decor....very different. Lastly, all we can say is thank you and we will be back.
