We celebrated a birthday dinner at Stekoa Creek. The most favorites of our food was the charred brussel sprouts appetizer, the pan seared scallops, Bone-in ribeye with cowboy butter, and the chopped salad with steak. One in our party got the chicken based on other reviews and recommendations but was not impressed. Most all of the food was very good. we got seated promptly but our service was slow. I want to clarify that the food came out in a timely manner, but service getting our drinks, order, refills, etc was too lengthy. Our server forgot a couple of things we asked for and had a mix up on our paying. She had a table side by side to us and it seemed to be difficult for her. She made a nonchalant remark that she got things confused. She was very nice, just overwhelmed. We tried to be "easy" and did not complain , she was trying. We enjoyed our time. But, if the service had been better, I could have written a much cleaner review. I don't know if we will risk the chicken again but, the rest was very good and we will be back again some day. I won't base everything on one experience as we know things can be hard sometimes. It is a nice place to celebrate a special occasion.

Much needed and appreciated place for steak, don't miss it of you're in town. Clean, friendly, well prepared, presented and served. Not the cheapest, but worth it. Only very minor issue was that the wine list could use some organization.

Food was very good, menu well thought out and interesting. Very comfortable environment with nice entertainment. The waitstaff pleasant and management was attentive. I will definitely go back. We had a wonderful time.

We were staying in Helen, and I wanted to take my wife to a nice birthday dinner, as Helen does not have a lot of options. I found this place and based off of their high ratings, I decided to book a reservation. The ambience of this restaurant is decorated very nicely. It’s very masculine, but has a warm feel to it. We ordered drinks. I liked mine. My wife did not like hers. There are no Kid menus and we had our seven year-old daughter with us, so it was very tricky trying to find her something to eat but they commentated us with red sauce and noodles, which we appreciated that, but was disappointed to know that there was no kids menu. I ordered the pork chops and my wife got the fillet and we shared the mashed potatoes. My pork chops were extremely dry and had no flavor whatsoever. My wife’s fillet was cooked perfectly, but was extremely tough, not tender and was extremely upsetting, especially at the price point. They had no condiments which I found very bizarre. I have been to a lot of high-end restaurants, and even the most expensive restaurants I have been to have condiments. The food was very disappointing and it was very disappointing that we drove 30 minutes one way for my wife’s birthday and the food was just blah.

Food, okay not exactly the quality 4 the cost. Decent, good, but frankly not like oh Lord I must have that again factor. Fabulous impeccable service, clean, lovely staff. Chef very attentive and visited our table. If advice 2 kitchen can be given, from one chef to another. Find your hit me wow..if owners will allow u to do so. Food was good. Just not aligned with a 200$ ticket. Sorry.

First experience at this lovely place on a busy New Year's Eve. Tables were crammed so closely together that the wait staff bumped our arms as they were serving our very close neighbors. Made conversation awkward for all. Menu choices seemed adventurous but execution fell flat on entrees, leaving us a bit baffled. Lobster bisque had a lot of tomato soup but lobster was undetectable. However, the Brussels sprouts were very good, and the firecracker crab and shrimp dip was excellent! Wonderful servers despite the busy schedule - they tried to keep up. My husband had to eat his entree with a spoon - no-one stopped by to ask or bring him a fork. All in all a mixed experience, but we look so much forward to having a great steakhouse in Clayton! We will be sure to sample more menu items during a less busy time.

Excellent experience for New Year’s Eve. We were a party of 8 and from start to finish it was perfect. The table had a variety of entrees. The meatloaf is amazing. Our server was very attentive for such a busy night.

We booked through Open Table during a busy time of year. From the res., they knew it was a celebratory dinner and they sat us next to the kitchen so the noise level was high but seated elsewhere it would be fine. Restaurant is beautifully decorated. Our waitress was fantastic and very attentive. Drinks were delicious and the food came hot and beautifully plated. Loved loved loved the chicken dish. Will definitely go back. Seems like a special occasion type of place due to higher prices.
