Storyはカンザス州プレリー・ビレッジのThe Villageショッピングセンター内にあるモダンなアメリカ料理ノレストランです。ショッピングセンターはカンザスシティのミズーリのカントリークラブ・プラザから南西へ10分の場所にあります。
Storyでは、シェフCarl Thorne-Thomsenが地元の季節折々のアメリカ料理を提供しています。シェフCarl Thorne-Thomsenは2013年にジェームズ・ビアード賞の中西部のベストシェフで準優勝し、FOOD & WINE magazineのThe People's Best New Chef Midwest を受賞、2014年にはFOOD & WINE MagazineのThe People's Best New Chef Nationalで優勝しました。

Had a reservation but got sat at the bar where it was cold and where our bartender ignored us. He didn’t ask for additional drinks, forgot to order our side, and we waited for 30 minutes for our check when we had our credit card out in site. We absolutely loved everything on the Menu from the Scallops to Steak Tenderloin and the sides were all prepared very well. The restaurant service was wonderful especially considering it was Valentines Day. A little lighter side music would add to the ambiance is about our only negative comment. For the $150 per person fee for Valentines I feel like the value we receive was about $15 per person. Aside from the initial course which was supposed to be chilled or at room temperature, everything that was supposed to be warmed was tepid. We were there for almost 2 hours and had had a total of three of the five small courses. The tartare was good, the ravioli was good, the scallops tasted like they have been dropped in a bucket of salt and were not even warm. At that point, we called it a night and had them pack up the remaining courses to go. The main server was good, but the person bringing out courses who we were told was a hostess helping out was very rude. Her  manner made it clear she felt like serving was beneath her. Some of the worst service we have ever experienced. We were a table of two (celebrating Valentine’s Day) and our waitress was blatantly ignoring our table to tend to larger party tables. Our meal was enjoyable. And while the server and manager were nice about the power outage for our entire meal absolutely no concession was offered. Staff was obviously flustered by power outage which is understandable.
