Discover the taste of quintessential Jamaican cuisine, refined with a modern day twist. Enchanting island flavours are infused into every dish with herbs and spices grown right here in our garden. At Half Moon Resort we are committed to sourcing locally grown and seasonal produce. The Sugar Mill Restaurant is as historic as it is iconic. You will be overcome by a sense of awe as you enter the former Running Gut Estate. It is nestled in an alcove beside a 17th century water mill. You can feel the history within the existing walls that once served as the foundation of a sugar cane plantation dating back to 1676.

Where do I start? There was a very pleasant gentleman that greeted us once we arrived to make sure we knew the correct entrance. The service from the beginning was top tier. Literally one of the best experiences in my life with dining. They food was so well prepared and cooked to perfection. Throughout the night there was several chef surprises that they brought to our table. Definitely a must if you’re in Jamaica. I wish I could give them a 10 star review it was well worth it and more. Thanks Sugar Mill for making my sisters 30th birthday a success

Gourmet experience, lovely setting, gracious service. Our fifth visit, it has changed quite a bit in two years. The quality and selection were excellent, we both thought it had become too expensive overall.

The hostess made the evening extra special when she coordinate a ride for us. Server was amazing, food was awesome!

Lovely birthday restaurant. Relaxed atmosphere and excellent food (best we had in MoBay). Wish they had stronger fans because the open air atmosphere was too hot, even at 10pm.
