Everything at sunset Monalisa is wonderful. The food is yummy. Even the bread has truffle oil. It’s so thoughtful the restaurant gave me and my husband a cute cupcake for our anniversary.

If this had been my first time there I’d never be back. The service was awful. We sat for over an hour after our dinner plates were cleared we were never offered coffee or dessert. Our check was dropped on the table without a word!!! The food is what saves this review-kind of. We ordered the pasta wheel which was supposed to for two and prepared table side. It was a one person portion brought out in a single plate and we were told to eat off our appetizer plates. The pasta was delicious but for 79 US DOLLARS ridiculously overpriced. No table side preparation. A bottle of wine two orders or the pasta and an appetizer of scallops and dinner was nearly $500. (Wine was antinori people a $40 bottle (retail) marked up to $180. We will not ever go back despite enjoying the sunset, the music and the pasta. Having been there many times before we will likely never return. The only reason it is a three star review is that the pasta we did get was delicious and the band was amazing. I’m thinking this is the reason the place was half empty at one of the busiest times of the year.

The setting is beautiful. We waited an hour between our first 2 courses and the next one. No on told us why or what was going on. Food is good but at those prices, the service should be excellent or the kitchen should make sure the timing of dishes works.

Very expensive... choice of 3 course dinner for $115 per person, 5 course for $153 per person, and 7 course for $175 (ish). Choice of 2 items for each course. We had 3 scallops each, which were good but got cold quickly. 2nd course was truffle fettuccine or wagyu beef ravioli (3). Fettuccine was the best, and the same comment about eating quickly before it gets cold. The 3rd course was fish. We had sea bass with lobster sauce. It was very good. The 4th course was meat (BTW, there was a vegetarian menu from which you could choose to replace any course). We both had fillets, and my was good because I avoided the sauce (no clue what it was), my partner hated hers because she got the sauce all over it. Dessert was the final course. We had tiramisu. It should have been called disassembled tiramisu. 4 coffee-soaked lady fingers, then mascarpone, then chocolate powder. The worst we've ever had. The house specialty drinks were $23 and up. We each had one, very good. We got a glass of wine each for $21, reasonable. We also had the smallest Grey Goose matinis I've ever had (maybe 1.5 oz?) for $23 each. Our tab with 20% tip came to $450. The sunset was SPECTACULAR, but we I'll never go back to Sunset Monalisa.

We have dined at Sunset Monalisa before while visiting Cabo San Lucas MX and it was very nice experience. Unfortunately this time it was a very very different story, and not in a good way. The food was very dissapointing that one of us even got sick. The value went to the roof I guess due to their clientele probably, but having a prefix menu for 3, 5, and 7 courses . Starting at $98 us dollars That’s very limited menu. And no a la carte menu. On the other hand we ordered a bottle of French wine, but instead they suggested a Mexican bottle of wine for the same OVER PRICED $$$$$ since when the prices of local wines are more expensive than foreign wines? Unfortunately all their wines are over priced. Very dissapointing. Probably won’t go back.

Easiest order to make was not served with the rest of the meals and the managers excuse was weak. 6 small tortellini for $37 was crazy. Seabass portion was small. Definitely a nice view but food and service are not on par.

Extraordinaria experiencia y servicio!! Es nuestra primera visita a Sunset Monalisa y sin duda regreseramos!! Además de la espectacular puesta del sol el lugar ofrece un menú de degustación de muy alta calidad y cocina refinada. Sugiero llevar un sueter para protgerse un poco del viento.

Absolutely stunning. Must go before the sun sets to enjoy the ocean view and sunset ritual. Night time view is beautiful as well. Food was fantastic. Service was delightful. Highly recommend!

Beautiful setting and amazing service. I wish we had made our reservations for earlier since the reviews showed amazing views but it was dark already so we couldn’t tell. There was a jazz band which was really nice for the ambiance.
