The restaurant was empty when we got there and it took them an hour to get the food to the table. Our waiter came by twice in that hour. The food was good. This was the only good thing. It was extremely loud from music and then everyone yelling at each other to be heard.

the waiting period for the food was too long almost an hour we spent like an hour eating and two hours waiting for our starter and then our food it was so annoying and i dont think i will be hosting friends there again for datenight

We arrived at 9pm on a Sunday night and the place was very loud. I ordered the roasted tilapia with coconut sauce and my fiancé ordered the oxtails. The food took a while to come out but it was delicious. The mango lassi was thick and yummy and overall our service was ok. I would definitely return.

This is my 2nd visit to Swahili Village in Beltsville. The food was outstanding and even our guests, who were experiencing Swahili food for the first time loved it! It was a quiet night so the ambiance was perfect for our birthday party! The only bad part was our server. He was a lovely man but he was sooo slow bringing our meal. And he brought out the birthday cake before we finished dinner. I would definitely return again and again. The food is the best and we still had a great time!!

The swahili in DC is so much better!!! The service here was horrible, we went here for my graduation and I certainly regret is months later. The food was decent would never visit this one again

Server was terrible . It took about 20 minutes just for our drinks to arrive. My salad took even longer. Our server Didn’t check or ask how our meal was going either. The plantains were not cooked either

I regret to inform you that my dining experience was extremely disappointing. The hostess and and the server were unprofessional and unfriendly making my dining experience horrible and showing little regard to the customer satisfaction from start to finish of which it was a regrettable experience that i wouldn’t wish upon no one

Booked reservation but had to sit at a bar I drove an hour to eat hear but due to the holiday they weren’t prepared for it to be so busy.
