Tabu breaks from tradition with Multi-Regional Latin inspired cuisine and cocktails, in a unique and eclectic West Loop space. Our menu defies culinary classification delivering vibrant dishes that draw influence from the cuisines of Mexico, Spain, Colombia, and more. Tabu’s food offerings were designed to pair perfectly with its tantalizing beverage program, which is set to boast the largest collection of Mezcals and Tequilas in Chicago. Tabu’s interiors combine a certain sophistication and playfulness, with a ceiling adorned with nearly 10,000 individually cut ropes, enigmatic pop art murals, and a sunken cocktail lounge that begs you to order just one more round. Tabu’s food offerings were designed to pair perfectly with its tantalizing beverage program, which is set to boast the largest collection of Mezcals and Tequilas in Chicago.

Tabu has a No-Show policy and Same-day cancellation policy of $10 per person.

    Our first ever Tabu Agave Affair begins on Thursday, February 27th at 7pm. Come and experience a 5 course meal featuring Don Julio. Enjoy a welcome cocktail; followed by featured pours of Don Julio Alma Miel, Don Julio 70, and Don Julio 1942 at each course with open dialogue and education about the brand. The evening will wrap up with dessert and a another cocktail with open socialization for everyone.

                                                                                                                            Love Tabú. However the music was extremely loud for just mimosas at 10am. We’re not there to rave that early LOL! Otherwise Tabú is one of the most beautifully themed restaurants I’ve been to in quite some time. Food is delicious and the portion sizes are AWESOME! It’s not one of those fancy places that charge 25$ for “handhelds” and give you 1 taco.

Definitely great vibes! Our server was amazing I think her name was Naomi. Will definitely return!

The staff, the food, and the ambience were perfect! The bottomless brunch was a perfect birthday celebration. I will certainly be back AGAIN & AGAIN.

                                                                                                                            The Saturday day party was fun but I did not like the 2 hour bottomless mimosa package I pre purchased through Eventbrite. I paid $33pp plus the eventbrite fees which are almost $6 a ticket. The description said it would be more for the package the day of day party. We get to our table and the waitress says the bottomless is $35pp (so I really didn’t save money pre buying) and I told her I pre bought so she had someone scan my tickets. We ordered our food and everything was good, the DJ was good, some people were dancing near their tables and the energy was really fun. We get our bill and there is a $14 service charge as the first item and she explains that is the Tip for the mimosas and not a tip for the food, and that would be a 21-22% tip based on my $33 tickets…I look at the bottom of the receipt and there is the 3% credit card service charge and tax. The extra $14 for the mimosas was added before tax, so I was taxed on a “Tip” and still expected to leave a tip on the total…She said it was listed on the Eventbrite page but I never saw that. So I was already at $93 for just mimosas and that left a bad taste for me. I would go again for food but would never buy their package again.
