Taste 222 is the storefront showcase of Cleveland Avenue, a venture capital and consulting firm that invests in remarkable food, beverage and restaurant concepts.

Taste 222 is a restaurant and event space focusing on unique experiences with an upscale vibe. We are a full-service restaurant with rich beverage and culinary offerings set in a beautiful space reminiscent of home.

We provide “Cheers”- like service. We know our customers’ names, their orders...we HUG! With a family-like atmosphere, Taste 222 provides great service, and delicious, comforting food in a warm and sophisticated environment.

    Friday, April 11th we’re hosting a special Trivia Happy Hour! Cocktails from Ten To One Rum and Bayab African Gin and Caviar Service provided by local purveyor, Caviar Dream. We’ll be featuring their incredible caviar on a couple of special bites and as an upgrade to some of your favorite happy hour items. Whaddayaknow? Free Pub Trivia will be returning as well, reserve a table for your team today! Great prizes provided by Ten To One, Bayab Gin and Taste 222. Happy Hour available 4-6pm, Trivia sign-up 5pm, Trivia 6-8pm, last call for food 7pm.

                  I love this place, I really do. We go to or order from regularly in the evening as it is close and food is reliably good. BUT, I took a friend to lunch yesterday. With a reservation we were seated in the back bar by the obnoxious wall of tv screens. The guests in line behind us were seated in the front room...WHAT??? I objected but no effort was made to accommodate us. My friend ordered the steak frites med/rare, the steak came well done. At 1:30 (we had a 12:30 reservation) the staff began removing chairs and table. It appeared the were preparing to set up for an event? We finished our meal and conversation amidst the chaos of the teardown. No one came to our table to see if they could accommodate us in a quieter part of the restaurant. Unacceptable. Those of who dine at your establishment are paying guests. Please remember that without us you do not have a reason to exist.

                  Always a great experience at Taste 222. I had a caesar salad with cajun shrimp and cornbread croutons. Phenomenal.
