   Went for a pre-Symphony dinner. Food and service were excellent. Tea Leaf Salad was wonderful and we enjoyed the table side preparation. Ordered Short Rib Khao Soy and Coconut Chicken Curry with Eggplant side. I rated the spice level of our dishes from 3 to 5, a perfect balance. I look forward to coming again soon.

   If you've been to Burma Love or Burma Superstar, Teakwood delivers on amazing Burmese food. The coconut rice and curry dish make for a winning combination; and you can never go wrong ordering the tea leaf salad, samusas and garlic noodles. While we were disappointed with the spring roll as the rice paper was noticeably hard like cardboard, we were pleasantly surprised by how tasty the carmelized cabbage side dish turned out. Overall, the food, service and decor / ambiance make for a great dining experience.

   Food is amazing, flavors, presentation, textures et cetera all on point. Service was mid or below, almost no effort put into helping us get started with the menu or even drink orders. Had to flag down the staff several times to place an order and get water. Expecting a lot more at this price point.

   Prefer the Tea Leaf Salad tossed the table. Are in the bar area with bartender as waiter. He was not as attentive as desired. Restaurant food still good but obviously tending toward more volume and less service.

   For our starter, we ordered the special of the day—crab cakes—which were enjoyable. For our main courses, we tried the aged duck curry and the coconut chicken curry. The duck had a garlicky marinade and was flavorful, while the chicken curry was decent but didn’t stand out. In fact, there wasn’t much distinction between the two curries, making them feel somewhat repetitive. Overall, it was a nice meal, and we would go back to try their other signature dishes

   Delicious Burmese in Hayes Valley. The tea leaf salad, the platha, the eggplant, the fried fried rice, and the branzino was spectacular. I also appreciate the mocktails on the menu.
