                                                                  I requested vegan which I was told could be accommodated but there was nothing but dried out roasted carrots and potatoes. Very disappointing and not as advertised.

                                                                  Very picture worthy. The food is very flavorful. I see why people like it so much. The wait staff need some help with being a bit more friendly and lively or maybe it was just our corner that specific night. Didn't look like she cared much. All in all would definitely recommend for multiple occasions.

                                                                  Tuna carpaccio was excellent, as was the foie gras. The chilled lobster appetizer was 2 small pieces of claw in a pile of greens, very disappointing. The mushrooms ala Greque were good, but covered in the same greens as the lobster appetizer. The mushroom ravioli was excellent. We all had the Denver steak as an entree. It was extremely rare and hard to cut and chew. It came with a laughably small amount of creamed spinach that was very good. The toffee pudding was good, the buche de Noel was all buttercream but came with a very nice peppermint ice cream. Very over priced for such mediocre food.

                                                                  Christmas lunch was wonderful. Four courses plus amuse bouche and petit fours good value at 195.00 considering the high standard. Oyster amuse bouche Chilled Maine Lobster citrus dressing Chestnut agnolotti Diver scallops with truffle Toffee pudding with eggnog ice cream Everything was delicious. Meal was well paced. Lovely dining room.

                                                                  We made a reservation ahead of time specifically for a 58th birthday and 30th year friendship celebration of the weekend before Christmas in NYC. We asked for a nice table. They accidentally put us yin the restaurant, which is not what we wanted. We wanted the lounge. So they stuck us at a table with chairs so low the table was at my chin and so far apart we could not hear each other. Worse, no one was assigned this table. Everyone tried to be nice, but it took 30 minutes for someone to pay attention to us. Then forever to get anything. Then, when we wanted to order after dinner drinks, they said we had to leave for another incoming reservation. As one born in NYC and this being one of my favorite places, it put a big damper on our celebrations. Hard enough when you are a Christmas baby.
