Today we had a beautiful Christmas Day lunch at The Terrace Restaurant - Country Club Tasmania. It was THE BEST meal we have ever had! There was a wide variety of breads and dips to start with, followed by amazing entrees including Octopus Salad, Salmon Sashami, Prawns and Lobster Salad. The mains were Mandarin Glazed Duck and delicious lamb accompanied by Hassleback potatoes, vegetables and salad. All were generous share plates except for the desserts where you were given a choice between Christmas pudding or a delicate berry meringue terrine. I am coeliac and vegetarian which I had put down in the initial booking info but sometimes when you eat out there are difficulties but not at this place. I was so impressed with the staff’s awareness and attention and care, the choices I had, the great variety of flavours including tasty dips and gluten free breads, mushroom and truffle risotto, salads, vegetables, cauliflower steaks to list a few. All plates were generous servings and beautifully presented.
Overall the quality of our meals were outstanding, brilliant chefs with very friendly, gracious staff. The restaurant was tastefully decorated and had a very relaxed atmosphere with lovely views outside to the bush/ mountains beyond.
We would definitely love to have Christmas here again!
