The Admiral Woods is an iconic traditional bar with a modern twist. Our public bar makes a great setting for catching up with friends, colleagues and family alike. When you enter you are met with original tiles and eye catching stained glass whilst our basement venue has a far more modern, minimal vibe.

    The macaroni is the best! Great service from all staff especially the young man who is, I think, 2nd in charge? The place has a lovely atmosphere for lunch or post work drinks.

    Booked a table for 7pm to watch the football starting at 8pm with a beer and a bite to eat. Tried to order food about 7.45 and were told the kitchen was closed. This wasn't mentioned on my booking, by the barstaff on arrival, or written anywhere that I could see. We finished our pints and left. The original admiral was a smashing place to watch the football with friends. Admiral woods is a poor imitation.

    Outstanding as usual. Good food, good beer and a good place. What else can you say. Simple as that.

    The admiral is a great pub with a good atmosphere, lovely food and friendly staff. Great to meet friends for a bite to eat and close to the train station
