The American Reserve is a vibrant downtown dining gem, with a warm setting distinguished by a chic décor, elegant marble walls and lofty 20-foot ceilings.

For gourmet breakfasts, business lunches and intimate dinners alike, guests may select from an inventive, locally sourced seasonal menu perfectly complemented by signature cocktails and an impressive wine list.

The American Reserve is located downtown Kansas City, open 365 days a year. Currently serving dinner from 5pm-10pm daily. The American Reserve can accommodate most dietary needs. Parking based upon availability.

This was a good dinner but not outstanding and they seemed to be shorthanded in and out of the kitchen. My salmon was over done and we were just not impressed with any of it. They sat a large group next to us who were very loud and inconsiderate of other people sitting around them.

Food was not as good as last spring when we were here. Absolutely average. Restaurant did not validate valet parking either, a pet peeve of mine.

Our server was very helpful and attentive all night. Please send her our thanks. She was very patient and mindful throughout our stay. Our problem had to do with finding a parking spot before coming in. We ended up paying for parking at a nearby parking garage. We found out later that we could have parked for free in a space provided by the restaurant . Is there a way to send out a reminder of parking instructions when reservations are done? Other than that, everything else was great!

Service was excellent. Meal was just okay, everything was good but nothing to write home about. Ordered a couple of espresso martinis, they didn’t skimp on the vodka, it was very good. Ambiance was good, dim lit room with masculinity feel to decor. We always wanted to try this restaurant, but we won’t be returning now that we can say we have been there

Not a good experience. Valet service was horrible. Front desk person was almost hostile and the food was bland. Would not recommend.

Great vibe. The music is nice, the food is good, drinks and service were very unfortunate. We dined on a Friday night and waited an hour for drinks and when they arrived they were clearly rushed. Staff seemed very overwhelmed from the start because they were. Just not quite the service and hospitality you’d expect at a finer hotel restaurant. Go for brunch over dinner.
