   This is a pleasant place in a character building. The standard of the food is high, but its not for the fussy eater. There's very little plain cooking, so if it's burger and chips you're after, don't bother. Portions are small as well. However, the taste is excellent and the presentation lovely. Service is good without being intrusive. It's not cheap, you might says on the pricy side. Overall though, it's well worth a visit. Recommended.

   Overall thile angel is superb, however I would say its on the costly side, so they would benefit a lot by lowering thier cost, it would certainly fill the restaraunt on a Saturday night

   The food was lovely. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because there was a problem with the starter. I had smoked salmon and it was supposed to come with avacado salsa, it was missing and when I complained the manageress didn’t sort it out.

   Food was good. Would have welcomed more attentive service especially as it was a special occasion. Cocktails and coffees were very disappointing.

   Were there for a 63rd Wedding anniversary, asked for a quiet spot, and were given the perfect location. The food was delicious and at the end they presented my in-laws with a plate of sweets and macaroons with happy 63rd wedding anniversary written in chocolate. A lovely touch which they greatly appreciated.

   Lovely lunch. The only negative is the table where we sat was extremely draughty! We were in direct line of the back door and the front door was behind us Very uncosy and spoilt what was otherwise a lovely meal

    lovely pub. friendly attentive service . well priced 2 or 3 course special daily lunch option. we have been before and look forward to going back again.
