Nestled in the heart of Wimbledon Village, The Black Lamb brings the best of the English countryside
and coast to the neighbourhood.
In true Gladwin Brothers style, their hunter gatherer approach to cooking enables the team to work
with what’s available and really showcase the best of British produce. Using their fantastic network
with farmers across the country, the chefs can ensure their guests truly ‘eat the seasons.’ This
commitment is also reflected in the drinks menu where they proudly serve a range of award-winning
English Wines from our vineyard, Nutbourne, which follows the philosophy of "what grows together,
goes together".

                Thursday night, buzzy vibe. Food was competent. Service was slow even though it wasn’t very busy. OK but wouldn’t hurry back

                Terrible - Tasting menu was awful - £300 per couple - out of 5 courses only one had meat/fish - no explanation of any wine or food either each course - it was a guess!!!!. It felt like they really didn’t want us at the restaurant and waiter nonchalant - I came here to bring my friends and husband as I have been here several times and was good. Overall - awful don’t bother! I won’t be back again I’m afraid.

                The service was top notch! Usually when you put a note for the restaurant that gets ignored most of the time, but not here. They were very accommodating! You have to try the side dish the potatoes ( wow) The food was delicious and the non alcoholic cocktail was yum

                Unfortunately the food wasn’t good at all - carrots in the dip were old and soft, croutons in the salad were soaked in oil, the salad itself was mainly huge unmanageable to eat lettuce and it barely had any dressing.

                Great service as always. Roast was lovely & the meat redeemed itself after last visit; gravy could be thicker, but all in all a nice lunch experience with friends.

                Ash is an amazing waitress.. So friendly and welcoming.. She made our visit very pleasurable.. We have been to the restaurant many times.. Service and food are exemplary.. Looking forward to our next visit ❤️

                Had the farm to fork set menu which was excellent value and really tasty. Also some delicious English wine. Overall a really lovely experience, and a beautiful, independent restaurant.
