   Celebrating our second anniversary at the Black Pearl was a truly memorable occasion. The restaurant radiated an elegant, romantic ambiance, with soft music creating the perfect atmosphere. The food was exquisite, each course a delectable masterpiece. The attentive service from the server and host made the evening even more special. The whole night was simply extraordinary. Though the Black Pearl is a splurge, the exceptional experience made it absolutely worthwhile.

   An overall great experience, the food outstanding, the service polished and professional. Very small place, tight quarters, and the staff did well to quickly resolve a drama at the table next to ours. From the starter to the appetizer to the entrees and dessert, top notch. The wine assistance was greatly appreciated and found us the perfect bottle in line with our expressed interests.

   Really excellent spot - small, which is a good thing and makes for a very nice dining experience. You can easily enjoy your dinner company and have a conversation without difficulty. The service is impeccable and the food is excellent. The pace of the meal was also perfect. Desert was a real hit - get the bananas foster!

   Service is exquisite. Better steaks can be found. Wine list is impressive. Wish I would have liked them as much as they liked themselves.

   10 out of 10 dining experience! Food was amazing and the service was great (we had Shawn). It truly is an experience, the Rissotto and Pork Belly are amazing!

   WOW! This was not just dinner out. This was a fine dining experience. From beginning to end, I enjoyed every minute and every sip and bite. In my party of four, we shared dishes to be able to enjoy many different items. First, I spoke to the sommelier to recommend a champagne on their list that would be to my liking. He nailed it. The 2007 Charles de Cazanove Champagne Brut Stradivarius was delicious. So delicious that I ordered a second bottle. The hors d'ouevres were great--just a bite to get us started. One was fontina cheese with pomegranate and the other involved pork belly. The pumpernickel bread was quite tasty with a sweet spread. For starters, we enjoyed the white truffle lobster risotto. It was rich, parmesany and delicious. I had considered ordering that as my entree and I'm so glad I got it as a starter. I did get a taste of my friend's mushroom bisque which was really yummy. The Black Pearl salad sounds common, but the taste was far from that. I had my first experience with atole, which was served as the entremet. I'll be searching for that recipe! The entrees at my table were a fish dish, the pappardelle bolognese, and the hereford filet mignon. The steak was by far my favorite as it was so tasty, tender and cooked to perfection. The sauce was full-bodied. What was really great was the crunchiness on the outside. We enjoyed pistachio creme brulee, white chocolate cake and bananas foster for dessert. When I have to make that choice again, it will definitely be the bananas foster. The fantastic food was only enhanced by the great server and sommelier who were quite attentive and generous. I highly recommend Black Pearl!

    Great spot. Service was wonderful. Very nice staff all around. Great for a special night out. Pretty inside. Filet was tender and delicious.
