A Disappointing Lunch Experience – Would Not Recommend
I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately, my experience was nothing short of disappointing. Upon arriving for my pre-booked table, I stood around for a good five minutes without so much as a greeting—despite staff being just inches away from me. No acknowledgment, no eye contact, nothing.
When I was finally spoken to, it was with an attitude that made me feel like I was inconveniencing them. I explained I had a reservation, only to be met with a dismissive “Do you? What’s your name?”—hardly the professional or welcoming response I expected. The lack of basic customer service from the team was shocking.
The only redeeming part of the visit was the barman, who was at least polite and helpful, kindly swapping our drinks when they weren’t what we expected. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the food. It was bland and uninspiring, the lamb bun with potato wedges that tasted cheap and straight out of a frozen bag—definitely not the quality I was hoping for.
There were no satisfaction checks throughout the meal, and at no point did anyone try to upsell desserts, coffees, or anything else—a clear sign that service isn’t a priority here.
When asking for the bill the card machine was brought over without even presenting the bill so we could see what was on it.
Overall, the lack of professionalism, poor service, and mediocre food made this a truly disappointing experience. I won’t be returning, and I certainly wouldn’t recommend it to others.
