    Celebrate Easter at The Brave! Join us on Sunday 20th April, when we’ll be serving an irresistible feast of snacks, mains, and desserts, including our hand-rolled Herdwick saddle of lamb and slow-braised shepherd’s pie, homemade soda bread, salmon tartar, cheese gougers, and apple tart tatin. Get booking online, priced £80 per person for a minimum of four, six, or eight people to share, with a glass of Silver Reign on arrival, as well as a bottle of Vina Bosconia Rioja Reserva, produced by in Spain.

                              We went for a Sunday roast and it was outstanding. Comparable to the Harwood Arms. Such a great addition to the local area. The bar area is nice too

                              Brilliant place, we both really enjoyed the food, really nicely prepared and presented, tasted amazing, braised beef shin was my top pick with the gnocchi a close second!

                              Really good bar snacks but set lunch menu was odd, quite dull and not in line with the main menu or interesting bar snacks. The steak was very chewy and inedible in parts. Quite empty and on a sunny day, the garden was being used to dry washing. Overall quite a weird experience

                              A brilliant birthday treat. Four of us enjoyed a truly special meal, with a mixture of (numerous) small plates and a couple of larger dishes to share. The highlight was probably the pork cheek, but the asparagus, the croquettes and (as always) the Scotch egg from the Bar Snacks menu were also delicious (as was the Malbec). To cap it all, our shared desserts were accompanied by candles and some sweet wine. Service was ultra-friendly throughout . In short, an unforgettable evening.
