In the heart of the Hertfordshire countryside, the Bright Star Pub overlooks the Peters Green village green and offers the most amazing view of the sun setting.
This beautiful country pub was first recorded as a 'beerhouse' around 1850, when it was run by shopkeeper George Griggs and his wife, serving the local community not only with ale but also general groceries and local farm produce.
With a good selection of McMullen local cask ales, beer, spirits and wine the Bright Star Pub makes a perfect place to visit whether you are local or enjoying a drive out in the country. Peters Green is just a few miles from Harpenden, Luton and Hitchin and is noted for it's excellent walks. Sitting on the Chiltern Cycleway, the Bright Star pub is a dog friendly country pub, very popular with walkers, ramblers and cyclists and you will often find horses tied up outside!
