    I had a deeply disappointing experience celebrating a birthday meal at this restaurant. We arrived for a Sunday roast towards the end of service, only to be served a meal missing half the items listed on the menu. The only green vegetable provided was a handful of barely edible green beans—there was no cabbage, no roast carrots, and no creamed leeks. At no point were we informed that the kitchen had run out of key elements of the dish; had we been told, we could have ordered something else. Instead, we were charged the full price, as if they hoped we wouldn’t notice. To make matters worse, when booking online, the restaurant specifically asked if the meal was for a special occasion—but this was never acknowledged during our visit. I called the next day to speak with the manager, but they were unavailable. I was assured they would get back to me, yet after a week, I have received no response. While the food we did receive tasted good, I can’t help but feel short-changed. What was meant to be a celebration turned into a disappointment, and the lack of communication and customer service only made it worse.

    Food was delicious but service was slow. I appreciate it was busy on a Sunday but we were served our mains, no one came to check on us and our table wasn’t cleared until after an hour we went to the bar to ask for the dessert menu. Even then we waited another 15 minutes to again have to go to the bar to order. By this time it was quiet in the bar area. Shame as I would have gone back for the food but not the service!

    Served with drinks quickly but waited for food for ages ! Portions were allot smaller than I expected certainly for the price we paid. Roast potatoes were difficult to cut in to and the beans were rock hard almost raw! My wife' s steak was small and loads of sinew which spoilt her meal. Overpriced food for the size of the portions. Be prepared to wait for a very long time during busy periods. Would not recommend.
