   OK so the Sunday lunch menu stated 3 types of meat to choose from- beef, pork loin or gammon. We ordered beef only to be told they had sold out so we said pork loin- again sold out! Only gammon available. The time was 3 30pm hardly late I would suggest. Very disappointing as we had taken family who were over on a visit which didn't look great.

   Food was delicious. It the serve staff seemed to be very inexperienced. Bringing starters out at the same time as the mains. Charging us for a drink that they forgot to serve. Can we have proper teacups. Not appropriate for your guests with disabilities.

   Lovely setting, really nice place. Food was really nice. Just 2 things stop me from.giving outstanding. Only minor and can easily be overcome with training. Staff were friendly and polite, however they forgot to bring sauces when we'd asked for them, and the knives were blunt, no good for cutting meat,let alone roast potatoes! This did not spoil the meal or the restaurant. Would highly recommend it and like I say only very minor issues.

   Beautiful food in a lovely setting, staff very friendly just a few small points to add they could've have been a little bit more attentive after being seated as we waiting a while for our drinks ordered to be taken. And 2 of our party had arrived early and nobody around to seat them at our reserved table and found themselves in the bar area at another table thinking it was ours as it had a reserved on it but was asked to leave when staff was taking others to there table.

   Beautiful food. Service is slow and continuously had to chase to order drinks and food. Beautiful place. Food is stunning. Staff are polite just need to be more attentive

   Sat us at our table early which was great but there the service ended. We had to stop someone to order and then left waiting for drinks. Food arrived but we had no cutlery that once again we had to chase. My husband’s beef was unacceptable as couldn’t be cut at all, when he took it back to complain he was offered a steak knife!! They did replace his meal with a reasonable our but we ended up eating separately. Overall service needs to significantly improve to charge the prices they do

   We ran late for our booking and the restaurant was very helpful and obliging. Service was a little slow to start, but our starters were very nice and worth waiting for. My celeriac main course was lovely, but the portion quite small; my husband enjoyed his vegan roast onion risotto and my guests the sea food stew (although the quality of the prawns let it down a little). Our server was pleasant, but lacked experience and could not advise on dishes as she had not sampled them - a bit of training would go a long way to enhance the quality of service and the overall experience. I will be returning.

    Arrived at the location on time and the table was not ready for us, took 20 minutes after having to go to find someone before we could order our food aswell as having to go to the bar ourselves for drinks. The starter was fairly good after waiting 30 minutes. However, we then had to wait another hour before or main course which was not great, cold and soggy is the best explanation. If I could describe the ‘sirloin’ it would be like chewing on a tyre. Maybe an off day, but for the price you would expect better.
