Make it a day to remember. From birthdays and anniversaries to professional milestones, we aim to make every gathering special at The Capital Grille. Open seven days a week, The Capital Grille is best known for our expertly prepared steaks, which are dry aged in house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by our restaurant's on-premise butcher. The Capital Grille's wine list features more than 350 selections, and its floor-to-ceiling wine kiosk regularly houses 3,500 - 5,000 bottles. Reservations are recommended but not required.     Our experience was fantastic! It would not be often that we would get to dine at the Capital Grille, so the evening was very special. We were greeted warmly by the hostess at the front desk, and walked to our arch shaped booth in the corner, which was perfect! Daniel, our waiter was very attentive, informative, and engaging. He was very knowledgeable on the wine selections, as well as the specials. He has great sense of humor, and did not rush our experience. We felt very much at home— a very enjoyable night! We will request Daniel for our next visit. The food was delicious! Just enough, not leaving there feeling like a stuffed whale. I do love the family-style sides. Desserts were delicious— flourless, chocolate cake, and crème brûlée!

    One of the best experiences at a restaurant. Since entering the restaurant you will feel welcomed and greeted by nice people. Food and drinks out of this world. Service on point , very knowledgeable about everything and always with a positive attitude. Great recommendations Overall 10/10

    I was celebrating my birthday and I can’t believe how wonderful it was . Our server Danny was wonderful. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The food was amazing and I loved the special dessert that Danny brought to the table with a candle . He wished me a happy birthday numerous times and I will say that I can’t wait to go again and I will request Danny. Went home with enough food for another meal with dessert.

    Finally, a restaurant in Newtown that delivers on both the food and the service — both were outstanding. The steaks were cooked to perfection and delicious, and Daniel gave us exceptional service. Well done!

    First, the waiter (Danny) and his assistant (don’t recall his name) were great. Both attentive and super friendly. Unfortunately, between the wait staff and the truffle fries, those were the only positives. We were sat 15min late against our 6:30 reservation (wasn’t even that crowded). It took 25 minutes to get drinks and about 15 minutes to get bread. Dinner took another 45 minutes. The food was fine. Not great, not bad. The truffle fries were an exception. Then, we ordered desert and 2 coffees. The coffee didn’t come until we were done with the dessert. The restaurant did comp those, but clearly the reason we were sat late is that their food staff is underwhelming or understaffed. We were excited to try something new, but likely won’t be back. Given the cost, I’d expect way more. Thanks Danny for trying!

    Elegant atmosphere. Food is outstanding. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Pricey, but if that is not a problem, well worth it.
