   The Chequers is a delightful pub with delicious food, especially my choices of wild mushroom risotto and lamb's liver. The staff are very attentive and cheerful. Altogether a superb experience and that is why l have already booked 2 more visits with friends!

   First time visitors, halfway point on our walk as a group. Will definitely go back. Great staff, beer kept well and local, always important and food was excellent. Top experience.

   The food was served very quickly and was lovely and hot, as well as being delicious. The menu was varied and had dishes which we don’t often see on the menu of gastropub venues. Staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. It was our first trip to West Sussex and we were glad we had chosen The Chequers Inn.

    The whole lunchtime experience was suberb, from start to finish. highly recomend well worth a visit. Every aspect was faultless.
