Welcome to the Clarendon Tavern! Offering seasonal, locally sourced and handmade ingredients. Beautifully designed to embrace our heritage building roots with a modern twist. Chef Dave Godsoe was inspired by the vibrancy and character of the market when creating this menu. Sister restaurant to Eighteen, Social and Sidedoor.
Come in for Lunch, Brunch, Dinner, late night and handcrafted cocktails. Located in the heart of the Ottawa Byward Market.

    very good service but the food is pricy but not good. The meat was tasty but the potatoes and vegetable were undercooked, and the desert were not good at all.

    Food is good, location is great, ambience is cosy and casual. Server assigned to our table needs a lesson in the basics. Her colleagues made up for it when we asked for their help and discounted our bill which was appreciated.

    Enjoyed the mezze plate, chicken wings that were crispy and well spiced, and 2 different pizzas - this was lots for 4 people. The server was responsive and friendly, but did not have a clue about wine. To compensate, he let us test taste two and we chose a good Valpolicella. Lovely space - the tables are not too crowded.
