Coach House, 2x James Beard Award and Jean Banchet Award-nominated Chef Zubair's Mohajir’s latest venture, is a Tasting Menu experience featuring a heavy dose of South Indian flavors whilst avoiding direct tradition. Coach House is located in the rear of Lilac Tiger's street food location, on Division St.

Our 7-course Tasting Menu rotates seasonally, and is featured on Friday and Saturday nights at 5:45pm and 8:30pm; this experience gives insight into the culinary traditions that Chef Zubair was raised with, reimagined through a modern lens.

Your experience can be supplemented with one of our thoughtfully-curated wine and cocktail pairings, or you and your guests can select your sipper from our worldly wine list, elegant cocktails, and vibrant and non-alcoholic signature drinks.

If your reservation is canceled within less than 24 hours of your reservation it will become non-refundable. In this 7-course tasting menu experience, curated by James Beard Award-nominated Chef Zubair Mohajir, you will be taken through Chef's food memories of his home in Chennai, Tamil Nadu while also exploring the South Asian subcontinent. The Coach House experience honors age-old traditions while pushing the boundaries of South Asian cuisine. No modifications allowed. Please only let us know of any dietary restrictions and allergies to note. We look forward to serving you.

    We had dinner and wine pairings for 4. Compared to prior visits, the courses were of varying quality - some of the courses were flavorful and memorable, while some missed the mark. Similarly, the first and last wine pairings were terrific, as was the melon-infused cocktail, while the intervening wine pairings fell flat. The orange wine in particular should be permanently retired. Chef spoke for only a minute this time, while in the past he shared more of his personal life story and journey, including more about each course. All in all, Chef has enormous talent but did not lean in with as much passion as we have enjoyed in the past.

    Tasting menu and wine pairings - loved the duck, scallop and crab and enjoyed all the drinks that went along with the experience. Adored the bit by the sous chef engaging us with the nostalgic theme throughout the evening. Wonderful night.

    The valentines day tasting menu w/cocktail pairing was an incredible journey into South Indian cuisine. Chef Zubair takes you on a culinary cultural tour of his upbringing with a undertone of his fine dining journey as well. The cocktails were immaculately crafted for each dish, and we both enjoyed the side quest of learning about the different cocktails. We will definitely return to Coach House.
