   We’ve enjoyed The Depot anytime we’ve been in Sonoma. The food is tasty, plate presentation is very nice, and the service is well paced. The menu is varied enough (pizzas, pastas, entrees, a host of salads and appetizers) to meet the needs of most diners. I had the beet and goat cheese salad to start: an array of red, yellow, and rainbow beets on a bed of greens, topped with crumbled goat cheese, softened onions and was dressed just right. My main course was a braised short rib on a bed of polenta with shaved steamed Brussels sprouts and a nicely reduced sauce… scrumptious! My dining partners both had pasta dishes that they really liked. The ambience is warm; we sat by windows overlooking a pool and fountain; very calming.

   Four of us had an excellent meal at The Depot. The food was carefully prepared, of high quality and varied. The service was efficient, helpful and knowledgeable. The owner was solicitous and really seemed to be pleased we were there. We shall certainly retirn

   Sat in front room next to fireplace. We had the room to ourselves. The staff were attentive but not on top of us. The food was delicious (got short rib and carbonara), portion size was moderate, but food quality was great and did not feel hungry afterwards. Had nice chat with manager Susan. Would recommend this as a quieter alternative to EDK. Will come back again.

   Always a hit! They nail it every time! Salmon was fantastic as well as my husband’s generously sized ribeye steak! And the burrata is one of my favorites in town! We will be back soon!
