   As a table of three, two diners had the Derbyshire beef and one the sea bass, Both were excellent dishes, highly recommended, particularly the sea bass on black rice was superb. Good choice of starters and desserts. The Dovecote has been recently refurbished, which helps to make this a memorable venue for those special occasions.

   We have not been to the Dovecote for quite a few years but recently moved back to the area. For us comparing to previous visits things have changed in regards to no more olives on arrival or bread to the table. We also found the service could have been better. Staff did not appear that interested. No offer of additional drinks until dessert menu came out. No side plates for a sharing cheese board. We cannot fault the quality of the food that was brought out. This continues to be amazing .

   We had a wonderful afternoon tea in the very newly refurbed Dovecote. Decor is lovely. Superb service from Caitlin who coped very ably with all the specific requests around dietary requirements. As always the offerings were divine, love the French vanilla tea. Never disappoints, consistently great

    Yet again an outstanding Sunday lunch at the Dovecote albeit relocated temporarily . Food , drink ., service & ambience excellent . Perfect to celebrate my special birthday with my family . Love to eat there .. would do it every week if I found .. thank you to the whole team ❤️❤️
