For over three decades, The Drover has been the place to go in Omaha, Nebraska for a good steak. The rustic, vintage decor and dim lighting adds to the traditional steakhouse ambiance. Reservations are encouraged at The Drover due to its popularity.The signature whiskey marinade, available on cuts, such as the filet and the ribeye, is what sets The Drover apart from other steakhouses in the area. Shrimp, chicken and seafood entrees are all also available should a guest prefer an alternative to red meat. Burgers, appetizers and soups are options for those looking for lighter fare. No visit is complete without a trip to the salad bar. Not only is it a healthy choice, it is also known as one of the first salad bars in Omaha.

                                                  We enjoyed our dinner very much. Service was great. Steaks were cooked perfectly. All of the food was great.

                                                  Overall, the original waitress refused to come around our table to take drink order and or food. We saw her twice in a 25 minute time span. After waiting 40 minutes another waiter finally came around our area and was flagged down. That waiter then proceeded to lie about our food being done in 45 minutes and we left after waiting an additional 15 minutes. No manager was ever found to speak to about this ridiculous amount of time passing when the driver charges $55 a steak.

                                                  I’ve definitely had better steaks, especially a better ribeye. Most disappointing is that we came here for our son’s 18th birthday and said that when we reserved, told the host when we arrived and mentioned it also on OpenTable. However, while dining there was never a mention of it to him for a Happy Birthday or anything that you get at lots less expensive restaurants. The rest of the service was amazing.

                                                  Waiter was very professional and knowledgeable on the menu. The food was good but pricey, could have gone elsewhere for better portions for what we paid. However, our waiter brought my wife and I a free Cheesecake to share for our 19th Anniversary.

                                                  Staff Did not greet us, staff did not introduce them self, staff did not come back to check on us, did not check to see what f we wanted another cocktail, ambiance was dull, salad bar was poor, we waited 15 minutes for our check, husband had to track it down. It was a a disappointment. We would not return or recommend it. My filet was delicious, everything else was poor quality.

                                                  Feels like an old-school small-town steakhouse. Excellent food, steak was cooked perfectly, loaded baked potato and salad. Waitress and a cocktail waitress kept everything we needed on the table and didn’t need off it.

                                                  I had heard a lot about Drover and decided to try it out. Unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. It is very loud and old inside the restaurant. Service was okay, and the wait for the food order once submitted was 40 minutes for one filet. I ordered the steak medium, and it came out rare. The wood tables and chairs were uncomfortable, and the silverware was sitting open on the wood table top. The silverware had water spots. This was my first and last visit to the Dover. Really disappointed in the experience.

                                                  I usually do lunch at the Drover but a customer was in town and we went for the full dinner experience. It was 10 below zero outside and the place was packed. (That's a good sign!) The food was extraordinary-the service great and the augraten potatoes i wanted crunchy/burnt were absolutely perfect!

                                                  As usual the staff of the Drover provided a top quality experience. The atmosphere, service and food was wonderful and I highly recommend anyone to dine with them when you are in Omaha.
