Superior service and cocktails available. Menu is excellent and skews to a wide range of dishes at excellent price points. A nice place in the third ward ahead of a show or to take clients and no $160 tomahawk ribeyes! The Bison burger is superb.

Finally tried The Edison for dinner after thoroughly enjoying their brunch for the first time last summer. Ambiance inside is great for a date night (though we dined with our 4 year old and didn’t feel out of place or unwelcome), service was very friendly and attentive, and food exceeded expectations (particularly the gnocchi which was on par with pasta dishes we’ve had at top tier restaurants in MKE). The pigs in a blanket with hot honey, pork and grits entree, and ginger mocktail were also very good. We will definitely be back for both brunch and dinner!

A table for two in the dining room is separated by a too short planter. I would recommend sitting in the bar instead. Special cocktails are batched (or so we were told), not what you would expect for the price. Will be going to Onesta instead of The Edison from here on out.

I understand the tables are close together and we will take your feedback into consideration of the type of plants we may use. The cocktails are batched to expedite service for the bar to get orders to the table in a timely manner and contain all of the spirits made to recipe however I apologize this hampered the quality for you. Went for a late dinner. Ordered the meatballs to start with, the meatballs were overcooked. This would have been an delicious app if they weren't overcooked. My wife ordered salmon and I ordered the short ribs. Again my short ribs were overcooked. Just like the meatballs, they seemed to be cooking all day. Maybe because we came for late dinner. My wife enjoyed her salmon, Truffle fries were good. Service was very good.

Everything about the Edison was wonderful! The salad with Ahi tuna and wine were delicious and ambience and service were wonderful! I’ll definitely be back!

Restaurant was cold. So cold that they had space heaters in the ladies room. Made a reservation and requested standard seating-got table top in bar area. Offered to move us but we caved. Drinks good but pricey. Was really looking forward to Cascio E Pepe. Was served on pasta other than pappardelle. Would not have been to bad but the pasta was thick. And the sauce even thicker. Flavor would have been good had it not been so over powering. A bad rap on an iconic Italian pasta dish. Other meals at the table were ok. Desserts were ok, nothing go go out of the way for. Salad and Parker rolls were ok but all in our party agreed no reason to return. Atmosphere offered nothing memorable.
